About Children's Community Health Plan (CCHP)

Children’s Community Health Plan (CCHP), an affiliate of Children’s Wisconsin, is an HMO dedicated to providing access to the highest quality health care and services to our members living in Wisconsin. We are proud to serve over 150,000 members between our two products.

CCHP offers two products to our Wisconsin members:

  • BadgerCare Plus - CCHP is offered in twenty-eight (28) counties in eastern Wisconsin, and covers more than 150,000 adults and children, making it the second largest BadgerCare health plan in the state. With the combined resources of Children’s Hospital, Children’s Community Services, Children’s specialty and primary care clinics, and our community partners, we are committed to improving the medical and social well-being of our members and the community.   • Together with CCHP - Together with CCHP is a health insurance plan for individuals and families living in southeast Wisconsin. Together with CCHP covers over 16,500 members and offers access to high-quality health care from our network of providers. Providers include Children’s Hospital, Ascension (Columbia St. Mary’s and Wheaton Franciscan), Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin and, United Hospital System. Children’s Community Health Plan is a member of the Association for Community Affiliated Plans (ACAP), which is a national trade association representing more than 75 nonprofit safety net health plans that serve more than 22 million low income individuals in 27 states and the District of Columbia. ACAP’s mission is to represent and strengthen not-for-profit, safety-net health plans as they work in their communities to improve the health and well-being of vulnerable populations.

The National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) has awarded a Commendable status to our BadgerCare Plus product and an Accredited status to our Together with CCHP product. NCQA is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to improving health care quality and committed to providing health care quality information for consumers, purchasers and health care providers and researchers. CCHP has also successfully completed the NCQA certified Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS) Compliance audit.
